We thank you for your patience as we have worked through a plan to return students’ belongings. The school board has laid out a plan where all K to 6 schools will have NO student/parent entry to schools. We are preparing student belongings over the next two weeks. Pick up of student belongings will take place at Manchester on June 22 and 23. PLEASE read the message below carefully so that we can easily meet safety requirements while returning items to our families.

At Manchester we will be holding student pick up as follows:

Monday, June 22 from 10 am to 2 pm – Last Names A to N

Please follow the guidelines for times listed below based on the first letter of your child’s last name.

A B C: 10 – 11:00 am

D E F G: 11 – 12 pm

H I J K: 12 – 1 pm

L M N: 1 – 2:00 pm

Tuesday, June 23 from 10 am to 1 pm – Last Names O to Z

Please follow the guidelines for times listed below based on the first letter of your child’s last name.

O P Q R: 10 – 11 am

S T U V: 11 – 12 pm

W X Y Z: 12 – 1 pm

Car Pick Up:

If you will be arriving by car please drive to the far end of our parking lot and follow the arrows and signs and slowly drive into the parking lot heading back towards the school. Please follow the helpers (wearing vests) who are directing traffic.

We will ask for your children’s last name and prepare your children’s items. When asked to do so please pull forward to the table set up in the parking lot. Please remain in your car and pay close attention to the cars ahead of you.

We will place your children’s items on a table and we will step back. You will then be invited to get out of your car and safely collect the items.

Please drive carefully out of the lot.

Walking Pick Up:

Those who are walking are asked to walk towards the main entrance of the school. There will be signs and arrows on the ground directing you to the correct location. Please follow these arrows when arriving and leaving.

Safety Precautions:

Physical distancing MUST be followed. Please keep 2 metres between you and any other people.

Staff will be wearing masks and gloves for everyone’s protection.

Loaned Chromebooks:

Chromebooks WILL NOT be collected until September. Please take good care of these loaned items as they are valuable tools for home and school learning.

Library Books:

Please bring back any library books and add to the bin labelled LIBRARY BOOKS.
